Sponsor a bed, build a future

Your support gives young adults a real future, not just a way to survive. Discover how sponsoring a bed provides stability, education, and life skills for those transitioning to independence.

Why sponsor a bed?

When you sponsor a bed with South Georgia Transitional Living Center, you are doing far more than providing a place to sleep. You are giving a young adult stability, structure, and time—things many of them have never consistently had. That stability allows them to focus on working, going to school, learning life skills, saving money, and healing, instead of worrying about where they’ll sleep next or how they’ll get through the day.

Direct impact

Your sponsorship directly supports safe, stable housing, food, and basic needs.

Long-term independence

It provides case management, life-skills training, and transportation support.

Real future

For young people aging out of foster care, this support can be life-changing.

Who sponsors a bed?

We imagine bed sponsors coming from many parts of the community—individuals, businesses, faith groups, and organizations who care deeply about giving young adults a real chance at independence.

Individuals and families

Many of our sponsors are individuals or families who want to make a direct, meaningful impact in someone’s life, believing in prevention over crisis response.

Businesses & organizations

Local businesses, churches, faith-based groups, and community organizations focused on housing and youth development recognize that young adults need time, guidance, and support—not just emergency help—to successfully transition into adulthood.

What to expect as a sponsor

Once you decide to sponsor a bed, we ensure a transparent and engaging process, treating you as a vital partner in our mission.

4. a relationship, not just a donation

1. getting connected

Once a sponsor reaches out or signs up, we connect with them directly to thank them, confirm their sponsorship level, and answer any questions they may have about the program and how their support is used.

2. clear understanding of impact

Sponsors receive a clear explanation of what their bed sponsorship supports, including safe housing, food, utilities, case management, transportation, and life-skills support for a young adult in the program.

3. ongoing communication

We believe in accountability and transparency. Sponsors can expect periodic updates about the program’s overall impact, milestones, and progress—so they know their support is making a real difference.

Bed sponsorship isn’t treated as a one-time transaction. We view sponsors as partners in the mission. Our organization remains accessible and responsive.
